Shipping, Return, and Payment Policy
We normally ship via U.S. Mail with Delivery Confirmation, using First Class or Priority Mail. We will email you the Delivery Confirmation number.
For all orders to countries outside the United States and its territories, we use Global Priority or Global Express Mail or whatever similar service that is available that provides for delivery confirmation and insurance. Different countries have different policies, so we select the best available service.
Someone will need to be there to sign for the package when it arrives. Please include a phone number in the event that the postal service or your country's customs office needs to contact you.
We will email you the tracking number. Sometimes it is necessary for customers to contact their local postal service to locate the package and make arrangements for delivery. There is not much we can do to help once our postal service delivers the package to authorities in another country.
All import and customs costs will be your responsibility. Please do not ask us to falsify the value of the item or indicate that it is a gift. We are honest people and we don't do that. Besides, if we did we could not collect insurance for the value of an item if it is lost.
Insurance for shipments
We self-insure most shipments, unless there is an unusually high value. We haven't lost any shipments in the U.S. yet. Delivery Confirmation helps. If the Postal Service reports that an package was delivered to your address and you didn't get it, please ask around and see if someone else accepted it. If you want insurance, let us know when you place your order and we will get it for you.
When we ship to other countries, we use a service that includes shipping and delivery confirmation because we have had problems with lost and delayed shipments in many countries. We regret this, but there is little we can do once we turn your package over to the postal service. If you wish, we can ship by UPS or Federal Express, but they are very expensive - rates start at more than $50. You can check their web sites and calculate rates from US Zip codes 77491. Downloads are an excellent alternative (see below).
Downloads are a good alternative
An excellent way to avoid shipping problems and expense, especially overseas, is to purchase the download version. It is much less expensive, and you get your product faster without any concern about it getting "lost in the mail." Audio recordings are available on both Real Audio, which is recommended for dialup connections, and mp3 audio, which is quite a bit larger. The Real Audio is about the same quality as a.m. radio, while the mp3 recordings are about the same quality as f.m. radio and close to the quality of audio CD's.
Please download one of the free audio files that you can find on the home page and on many of the sales pages before your purchase any downloads, to make sure that you can download and play the files okay. If you have problems, please read the information on the Download Help page.
Your satisfaction is guaranteed. If you are dissatisfied for any reason with anything you purchase from us, let us know and we will do whatever we can to make it right. You are always welcome to return any item. Please mail it to our Post Office Box with Delivery Confirmation. When the Postal Service reports that it was delivered, that will be your proof that you returned it.
There is usually no need to return defective or worn out CDs to us for replacement, just let us know what you need. If there is some reason that we need to see it, we will let you know.
